The blocks this week are from the book "200 Crochet Blocks" by Jan Eaton.
So here is GS #100-Granny in the Middle (#117 in the book)
GS #102-Criss Cross (#137 in the book)
With this square you have to be careful of the color variations that you use as not to hide the criss cross pattern.
GS #103-Chocolate Box-(#145 in the book)
The original pattern was done in browns which makes it look like a box of chocolates! I am not currently using browns in my squares so I chose another color scheme. Not Bad!
GS #104-Daisy Chain-(#161 in the book)
I did this block in greens and blues and it looks good, but in the book there is one done in blue and yellow, I like blue and yellow so I think I will try it in blue and yellow next time.
GS #105-Coffee and Cream-(#165 in the book)
Here is another Spring time flower block to make. It was easy to do and would look good in many different colors! The original pattern was done in cream and brown, that is why it is called coffee and cream.
GS # 106-Big Round-(#173 in the book)
This was a fun and easy to do block!
Now that I have reached over 100 blocks I am thinking about the different projects that I can make out of the blocks. I am not sure if I want to make a blanket out of them or make different projects to give as gifts.
Next week there will be a few more from this book and then I will be making blocks from a new book. It is called: "The Granny Square Book" by Margaret Hubert. It has patterns for about 75 different granny squares. I will be using about 70 of the patterns in this book. If you are interested you can find the book on Amazon. It is a well put together book and has gotten a lot of great reviews!
Happy Crocheting!
Lovely to see your next lot of squares, love the anemone square pattern. Can't wait to see the projects you make with the squares. Rowen@Coastal Colours x
ReplyDelete#101 looks like a pansy in the center. #106 has my favorite color teal! Again this week lots of wonderful designs.
