GSC Week 25

I was really happy with the baby blanket! and glad I made it! (see previous post). Since I finished this one I decided to start a new one.

This weeks squares were all different and some were harder than others. These ones are taken from the Granny Square Book by Margaret Hubert.

GS #170-Isabella Square (#61 in the book)

This is a very lacy square so it would not be good for a blanket it would be better as a coaster or made into a table runner.

GS #171-Pretty Posy (#62 in the book)

Pretty Posy was an easy square to make, it would look good in many different variations of color!

GS #172-Filigree Rosette  (#63 in the book)

This reminds me of the sun in the middle of the summer.

GS # 173- Erica Square (#64 in the book)

The Erica square was hard to get square as it has a lot of front post double crochets and back post double crochets. Maybe adding another row of single crochets with a few half double crochets would even it out more. (these are U.S. terms)

GS#174-Marianne Square (#65 in the book)

This was a very easy square to make and it looks great finished!

GS #175- Six Point Star (#66 in the book)

I made this square in red, white, and blue since U.S. Independence day is coming up next week.

GS # 176-Quartet (#67 in the book)

This was an easy square to make but very hard to get in the right shape, you would think that four small squares together would make one large square but it didn't come out that way!

Well that is all for this week! Next week will mark my half way point as July starts the second half of the year.

Hope all are having a good summer so far,
Happy crocheting!

  1. I like #175...especially in the red/white/blue combination. Have a wonderful 4th! Sandi
