The motifs in Edie's book do not have fancy names just numbers, so I will give the numbers of the ones I did.
GS # 219-Motif # 88 in the book
This was an easy square to do and would be great for a beginner.
GS # 220-Motif # 93 in the book
I would call this one Eye Spy, it reminds me of a spy glass.
GS# 221-Motif # 95 in the book
This should be called diamonds in diamonds, it was another easy square.
GS# 222-Motif # 96 in the book
This square looks like a spider web and looks similar to the "X marks the spot" square that I did back in January.
GS# 223-Motif # 100 in the book
The cross in this square looks like it is made of flowers.
GS# 224-Motif # 102 in the book
This block looks like a cross with rays of light behind it or even a bullseye!
GS# 225-Motif # 103 in the book
I would call this square the wave! This is an easy square that would be great for beginners.
As I get further along in my Granny Square Challenge, I feel like I am repeating some patterns. The only difference is doing a double crochet instead of a single crochet. How many different granny square patterns can there really be?
I hope you enjoy this weeks squares!
Happy crocheting!
I'm partial to the first block this week. #219 reminds me of a daisy that is missing its center. Have you ever seen a pattern for a thread spool pin cover? If so a machine or two or three in San Diego would love to have one. Here is one that is crochet that I've been admiring.
