GSC Week 33

My post is a little late! I went on a vacation to a cabin in the mountains and  there was suppose to be  wi-fi, but the wi-fi did not work well, so I was not able to get on the internet to do my post. I am back now so here is my post a few days late.
As with last week the squares were done using the book "Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs" by Edie Eckman. You can find her book on Amazon. besides the great patterns for Squares, Circles, Triangles, and Hexagons, she has some great crochet tips and information on yarn color combinations.

Hers are this weeks Creations:

GS# 226-Mofit #107 in the book

This motif looks great by itself and due to the ripple edging.

GS# 227-Mofit #108 in the book

This was an easy square to make great for beginners. This pattern would make a great coaster

GS# 228-Mofit #110 in the book

This square is one that would look great in many different color combinations!

GS# 229-Mofit #111 in the book

This square is made out of popcorn stitches giving it a puffy look.

GS# 230-Mofit #112 in the book

This is a variation of a granny square but it is crocheted in two different colors at the same time. This square reminds me of a quilt square!

GS# 231-Mofit #113 in the book

A circle in a square, many of these squares together would make a nice table runner.

GS# 232-Mofit #114 in the book

Another easy square that would look great in many different color combinations and make a great baby blanket.

The end of summer is almost here. School started this week for many students and all will be going to school by September 3rd.

Have a great week,
Happy Crocheting!

  1. I remember my Mom loving the popcorn stitch. I have a black popcorn stitch afghan that she made from years to many to count ago. My favorite this week is your popcorn block...reminds me of a honey bee! Sandi
