GSC Week 35

The squares for this week are from the book called "99 Granny Squares to Crochet" by Leisure Art you can find it on Amazon. This book has squares, triangles, and hexagons all made in rounds like granny squares.

The patterns in this book do not have names, they are numbered. Sometimes I think as I am making the numbered square what name I would give it. Giving the square a name makes it more personal and the square comes to life!

GS #240-Number 1 in the book

This square looks like it is made of shells.

GS #241- Number 2 in the book

This square reminds me of a flower rippling in the water.

GS #242-Number 3 in the book

This is a triangle granny squares, it was easy to make!

GS #243-Number 4 in the book

This square looks like a lacy star flower.

GS #244-Number 5 in the book

This square looks like a fluffy flower! It is made with popcorn stitches.

GS #245-Number 6 in the book

                                                                   Another lacy flower square!

GS #246-Number 7 in the book

This square has a cross, an X, and a few popcorn stitches to give it a three D effect.

When I first started out I was doing my squares in random colors, but with these next squares I am going to do a different color scheme each week. I am thinking about different projects to use the squares since Christmas is coming up soon!

Happy Crocheting!

  2. Looks like you are working this week on one project...all a heavier yarn or am I wrong? Wonder how you'll join some of these squares together when they aren't all the same shape or size...Sandi
