GSC Week 51

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! Even though it is christmas eve I still wanted to post my squares for this week. For the next few days we will be spending time with family and friends catching up on what everyone has been doing for the past year, so I may not get a lot of crocheting done.

Here are the squares for this week, again they are done with patterns from the book  called "100 Colorful Granny Squares to Crochet" by Leonie Morgan.

GS#352- Platinum, Purple, and Pink (on page 74 in the book)

This was an easy square to make and would look great in a table runner as it has a very nice pattern that would look good when a few squares are put together.

GS#353-Pretty in Pink Flower (on page 76 in the book)

Even though this is called pretty in pink it is one of those squares that looks great in many different color combinations.

GS#354-She Sells Seashells (on page 78 in the book)

This shell pattern is easy and looks good in a square. The shell pattern would make a really nice baby blanket.

GS#355-Pink Lavender (on page 82 in the book)

This square was done in bright pink and purple to keep up with its name but the picture makes the pink look red.

GS#356-Frilly Circle (on page 92 in the book)

                                        This is called a frilly square but it looks like a spring flower!

GS#357-Spikey Square (on page 96 in the book)

This square is done with bpdc which seem to pull in the sides of the square. Instead of doing dc in between each bpdc, using tr may have made the sides straighter.

GS#358-Bright Flower (on page 98 in the book)

I did this flower in orange to make it bright, if I did the background in white the flower would have stood out more.
