Mystery Crochet-A-Long (MCA)

So the crochet-a-long begins! I will be doing a multi-stitch stripe blanket, similar to a granny stripe blankets but using other stitch variations.

As stated in my last Blog post I will be using Stylecraft Special DK yarn in the following colors:
Aspen, Aster,  Bluebell, Clematis, Cloud Blue, Fondant, Lavender, Lipstick, Magenta, Meadow, Pomegranate, Sherbet, Shrimp, Spring Green, Sunshine, Turquoise, Wisteria.
I just love this Stylecraft yarn since it has a lot of great colors to choose from and is easy to work with.

I will be putting pictures of my progress on the blog and I will be posting the pattern in the MCA tab at the top of my blog page. Each week I will post 6-7 rows and by the end we will have a finished pattern. This is a project to do along with all the other ones you have going! I like doing a few rows a week since, I work on at least three projects at a time, so I do not get bored!

Just the beginning.
Rows 1-6 are done with sc, and hdc stitches to make nice blanket edge.
Close-up of rows 1-6, the spike stitches add a touch of color.
This pattern is great for those just beginning to crochet, since the stitches are basic and not too complicated.

I hope you enjoy enjoy crocheting this crochet-a-long!
Happy Crocheting!

  6. If I still had my nice yarn stash, I'd be tempted to do this, but everything I have, almost, is pink for cancer scarves. Leftover from last year's project.
