Finished!

What a happy day! The Granny Square and Stripe blanket is finished! I ended up using 7 skins of Stylecraft Special dk in cream, as the blanket grew it needed more and more yarn, that was why I had to wait two weeks to post the finished product. The final size of the blanket is 53 inches (135 cm) by 53 inches (135 cm)
In keeping with the pattern I added 8 rows of granny stripes in cream
I decided to add a splash of color to the edging instead of making it all one color. I used half double crochet and spike half double crochet stitches together give the edging a woven ribbon effect.
I really enjoy working with white, cream and bright colors as you can see in my other blankets found on the blog, take a look at Annie's BlanketGranny Stripe Blanket, and Bright Baby Blanket.

You can access the Granny Squares and Stripes pattern here I hope you enjoy making the blanket as much as I enjoyed coming up with the pattern!

Have a Great Week!
Happy Crocheting!
