What a happy day! The Granny Square and Stripe blanket is finished! I ended up using 7 skins of Stylecraft Special dk in cream, as the blanket grew it needed more and more yarn, that was why I had to wait two weeks to post the finished product. The final size of the blanket is 53 inches (135 cm) by 53 inches (135 cm)
I decided to add a splash of color to the edging instead of making it all one color. I used half double crochet and spike half double crochet stitches together give the edging a woven ribbon effect.
I really enjoy working with white, cream and bright colors as you can see in my other blankets found on the blog, take a look at Annie's Blanket, Granny Stripe Blanket, and Bright Baby Blanket.
You can access the Granny Squares and Stripes pattern here I hope you enjoy making the blanket as much as I enjoyed coming up with the pattern!
Have a Great Week!
Happy Crocheting!
It's a pretty one. So bright and cheery. I really like the border. It adds so much interest.
