Scary Skeleton Beanie

October is a time for the weather to change, the leaves to fall, and halloween! I was looking around for something different to wear on halloween and found this great pattern on Ravelry by Spider Mambo. It is called the Creepy Skulls Slouchy Hat and Ear Warmer Headband, it looked like fun to make and is different from my other projects! Check out the pattern on Spider mambo's Ravelry Page, it is only a $1.00, that is such a deal for a crochet pattern!

I love color, so I decided to make the skulls in bright colors. I used Stylecraft Special Dk yarns #1435 Bright Pink, #1068 Turquoise, #1081 Saffron, and #1002 black

Here is a close-up of  the skull pattern, it looks complicated but if you follow the instructions completely it is not so hard. I made a few adjustments to the top of the beanie since I don't like my hats slouchy and wanted it to fit my head.

This was so much fun! I'm going to make another one in darker colors.

If you haven't already, you should check out Ravelry, it is a free site for crocheters and knitters and is a great resource for patterns and yarn!

Happy Crocheting!
