What is a Coaster?
According to Merriam Webster Online dictionary a coaster is a small flat object on which a glass, cup or dish is placed to protect the surface of a table. I have always thought of coasters as small decorations. They come in many different shapes, sizes, and textures and are useful! The great thing about them is you can buy coasters or make them yourself! Below is a coaster pattern I would like to share with you!
The Popcorn Flower Coaster
The popcorn flower coaster is done in single crochet, chain, and popcorn stitches to make it a little denser so liquid will not seep through on to the table. To make your own coasters follow the coaster pattern link here.
These Costers are done in Stylecraft Classique Cotton DK yarn which you can find on the internet at Deramores or Loveknitting, these websites always have great sales and fast shipping.

These coaster were done with the same yarn colors but the yarn was crocheted in a different order. just changing the order of colors gives the coaster a different look.
This coaster was done with Stylecraft Classique Cotton Dk yarn, in #3672 poppy, #3662 sunflower, and #3663 soft lime.
I hope you like this new pattern!
Happy Crocheting!
