Winter Flower/Rose Scarf

As soon as halloween is over and the clock is set back the weather begins to get colder, it's time to pull out the beanies and scarves. I wanted to make a scarf that was different than the normal scarves out there, so I came up with the Winter Flower Scarf. The difference with this scarf is that you can wear it different ways, since the flower is made as a separate piece and is removable. The pattern available here.

The scarf was done in a simple pattern with single crochet and double crochet stitches since the flower is the focal point of the scarf.

Below is a tutorial for specific rows of the flower pattern that need a little more explaining.

For round 4:

Fold the petal forward

Slip stitch in the skipped stitch from round 2

For round 12:

Fold the petal forward

Working between the two treble stitches from round 11, slip stitch into the ch-6 space from round 10

After completing the flower loop. Sew the flower loop to the back of the flower by sewing down the sides, leave the top and bottom open to slide scarf through. (see photo below)

I hope you enjoy this scarf pattern!
Happy crocheting
Da
