Last week in my post I introduced the Crochet the Sky Blanket, this week I have a few things to share with you for the project. The Blanket pattern, the Crochet the Sky Chart, and the Ravelry Group.
Blanket Pattern
You are welcome to use any pattern you choose but keep in mind that you will be crocheting 365 rows and that can be very long! I have created a very simple pattern that is great for crocheters of all skill level. The pattern is simple because the blanket is all about the colors!
This is a sample of the blanket pattern, you can find the instructions here.
Note: Someone from the Ravelry group also suggested the corner to corner blanket pattern for crocheting the sky, you may want to check that out on the internet. I am not sure if it will work and what size the blanket will end up.
Helpful Chart
If you would like to join this project but feel you may miss a day or run out of yarn and have to order more, you can keep track of the colors of the day on the Crochet the Sky Chart. I know I will be using the chart because life happens and it will be nice to be able to keep track of the colors and come back to it later. You can find the chart here, to download and print.
Note: If you use Google Chrome as your browser you can download it directly from the blog. If you have any problems accessing the chart please e-mail me and I will send you a PDF of the chart.
Group Support
There has been a group set-up on Ravelry, it will be a place where you can discuss the project and post photos of your work in progress, so others can see the beauty of the sky in your area. If you do not have a Ravelry account you can join for free here, it is a great resource for crochet patterns!
Have a Happy New Year!
Crochet on,
Da
