Kaleidoscope Coasters

The beginning of March has brought a weather change and time change to Northern California. Falling back in October is an easy time change to get use to but when you have to spring forward you lose and hour.  This change takes a few days to get use to! It is Tuesday and I still feel tired!

In February I released my Kaleidoscope Mandala pattern and promised a pattern for matching coasters. So as promise, here are the coasters to match the Kaleidoscope Mandala.

The Coasters are done in Stylecraft Classique Cotton DK yarn (3.5 oz/201yds/100g per skein), which if you are in the United States you can order on-line from Deramores or Loveknitting, both are based in the U.K. but ship pretty fast.

The pattern for the coasters can be found here

Kaleidoscope Mandala and Coasters

Here are the Mandala and Coasters together, they make great gifts and the good thing about them is they look great in many different color combinations!

The colors used for the bright Mandala and Coasters are #3662 sunflower, #3673 Lavender, #3672 Poppy, #3671 Azure, and #3670 Saville

The colors used for the pastel mandala and Coasters are #3668 Hot Pink, #3666 Shell Pink, #3673 Lavender, #3663 Soft Lime, and #3664 Wisteria

I hope you enjoy the new pattern

  1. The coasters are nice and cheery! Time change is always a bummer.

  2. I love these patterns but have never made the mandalas because I'm not really sure what to do with them when I'm done. Do you add them as embellishments to other projects or do you have other suggestions on what to do with them?

  3. When I make a Mandala I decorate my house with them to add a splash of color. You can put them on a table, under a plant or vase, or decorate a wall with them.
