Lily Pond Blanket Update-May

I have been working on my Lily Pond Blanket for two months now, I like that they are releasing a new patten every two weeks. It gives you plenty of time to get your blocks done and still work on other projects! Making these blocks makes me feel like I am putting together a crochet quilt!

Block #3- Lily Bud (pattern was released on May 5th)

These four flower squares were easy to work up just like granny squares. They look like Lilies floating on water!

Block #4-Bobbles and Pin Wheels (pattern was released on May 19th)

This block took a little bit longer to make than the Stripes and Waves block. The pin wheels were not hard to do once you figure out the pattern, you just have to keep track of the row you are working on! I was only able to complete one of these blocks so I have three more to finish before June 2nd, since that is when the pattern for block 5 will be released.

Here is a close-up of the block, as you can see it takes a little more time to complete than the previous blocks.

The patterns for this crochet along that were created by Jane Crowfoot, are easy to follow, have a great tutorials for making each block, and are written in three different crochet languages! Check out the free patterns on the Stylecraft yarn website here . There is still time for you to join in!

I was looking around the Ravelry website and found a group of people who are doing the Lily Pond crochet along. You should check out Ravelry it is a great place to find patterns, get information on yanr, find out about events in your area, and join these great crochet alongs.

I hope you have a great week!
Crochet on,
Da
