Family Sports Beanies

This week I was busy making beanies and ended up making a family of beanies. These beanies were for my daughter to give as a gift to her friend who is having twin girls! My daughter wanted to give her friend something unique so she bought Steelers patches on Amazon and I made sports beanies for the twins.

I made these beanies using this basic beanie pattern created by Charmed by Ewe, 1 skein each of Stylecraft Special DK yarn #1002 Black, #1001 White, and # 1081 Saffron and a (4.5 mm) crochet hook. I followed the instructions for the 6-12 month size beanie and crocheted with two strands of yarn held together. I added a cute crochet flower and they are ready to go.

After finishing the beanies for the twins, I had plenty of yarn left to make matching beanies for mom and dad. The beanies for mom and dad were made using the Game Day Beanie pattern found on this site. I used the same yarn with two strand held together and a I/9(5.5 mm) crochet hook.

The Family Sports Beanies
These beanies were easy to make and they make great gifts! The best thing is you can customize them by using any color combination. Each of the beanie patterns are beginner patterns and are easy to make. You can make a matching scarf using the basic scarf pattern found here.

Have a great week!
Crochet on,
Da
