One Stitch Striped Pillow Cover

Yarn: 
Stylecraft Special DK Yarn (295m/322 yds/100gm):  1 skein each #1203 silver (A), #1005 cream (B), #1246 Lipstick (C), #1099 Grey (D)  (*see notes below)

Materials:
US Size M/13 (9mm) crochet hook, measuring tape, yarn needle, scissors, and pillow form 14” X 20” (35.5cm X 50.8cm)

Difficulty:
Beginner

Size:
Crochet panel finished size: 27” X 19”   (68.5cm X 48.2cm) (the panel was made a little bit smaller than the size of pillow as crochet items tend to stretch)

Gauge:
10 hdc and 7 rows = 4”

Stitch Guide:
ch(s) - chain(s), hdc - half double crochet, RS - right side

Notes:
The ch-2 at the beginning of each row does not count as a st.
*Each row is worked holding two strands of yarn together.

Instructions:
Foundation Row: With A chain 44, hdc in the 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.  — 42 hdc
Row 1 (RS):  Ch 2, hdc in the next st and in each st across, turn. — 42 hdc
Rows 2-11: Repeat row 2, after row 11 fasten off A. — 42 hdc
Rows 12-15: Join color B, repeat row 2, after row 15, fasten off B. — 42 hdc
Rows 16-19: Join color C, repeat row 2, after row 19, fasten off C. — 42 hdc
Rows 20-27: Join color D, repeat row 2, after row 27, fasten off D. — 42 hdc
Rows 28-38: Join color A, repeat row 2, after row 38, fasten off A. — 42 hdc
Rows 39-42: Join color B, repeat row 2, after row 42, fasten off B. — 42 hdc
Rows 43-46: Join color C, repeat row 2, after row 46, fasten off C. — 42 hdc
Rows 47-54: Join color D, repeat row 2, after row 38, fasten off and weave in ends. — 42 hdc

Finishing:
Fold panel in half and sew up sides, (you can single crochet it together or whip stitch it together), insert pillow form and sew the top of the pillow together, fasten off and weave in ends,
